eDiscovery & Litigation Support
Precise scoping, defensible collection, structured processing, and Relativity-ready delivery that reduces unnecessary review.
Forensic rigor and litigation support in one workflow.
TIERS Group helps legal teams avoid costly over-collection and review by scoping precisely, structuring data for defensible production, and delivering review-ready packages that integrate seamlessly with Relativity and other platforms. Our role can begin before preservation and continue through collection, processing strategy, exception resolution, production support, and technical explanation.
Plan
Discovery scoping
Map allegations, issues, custodians, systems, dates, sources, data types, preservation risks, and review needs.
Collect
Targeted acquisition
Coordinate defensible collection from devices, accounts, storage, cloud, email, and collaboration platforms.
Structure
Processing & normalization
Preserve metadata, extract text, organize attachments, normalize messaging, and document exceptions.
Deliver
Review-ready packages
Native files, images, text, metadata, load files, RSMF, reports, inventories, and platform-specific handoffs.
Attorney-focused deliverables
Built around how the legal team will use the data.
Deliverables are matter-specific; the examples below can be combined or phased.
Preservation & collection plan
Custodians, systems, sources, dates, method, responsibilities, dependencies, and risk notes.
Data inventory
Source volumes, container counts, date ranges, file types, hashes, status, and exceptions.
Relativity-ready load data
Configured metadata fields, extracted text, native links, image references, and load files.
Messaging packages
RSMF or other structured delivery for conversations, participants, attachments, and message context.
Portable reports & focused exports
UFDR, Portable Case Reports, tagged exports, or other attorney-review formats when suitable.
Exception & validation notes
Unsupported files, password protection, corruption, processing warnings, deduplication decisions, and QC.
A defensible handoff is more than a ZIP file.
Review teams need to know what was collected, what was excluded, how records were transformed, where metadata came from, and what limitations remain. TIERS Group documents the collection and processing decisions that matter to downstream review and production.
Platform integration
We can coordinate field mapping, naming conventions, date and time handling, native and image strategy, text extraction, parent-child relationships, message threading, and delivery structure for Relativity or comparable review platforms. Final specifications are confirmed with the hosting provider or review team before production.
Over-collection controls
- Phase work around priority custodians, systems, or issues
- Use date, account, folder, channel, file-type, or other supported filters when defensible
- Separate preservation breadth from review and production scope
- Identify data that is duplicative, technically generated, out of scope, or disproportionately burdensome
- Document exclusions and exceptions so decisions can be explained
